All our meals are carefully planned, nutritionally balanced and freshly prepared in our professional kitchen

Mealtimes

Sunny Days Children’s Nursery believe it is vitally important for children to experience and enjoy sociable mealtimes, balanced nutrition and a varied, freshly prepared menu. Mealtimes are a relaxed, happy and sociable occasion creating opportunities to learn. Our staff sit with the children, encourage conversation and help where needed. All our meals are carefully planned, nutritionally balanced and freshly prepared in our professional kitchen in conjunction with a nutritional advisor. We devise a wide-ranging menu incorporating food from different cultures to enable the children to broaden their experience of the world and to encourage them to try new foods.

Fresh fruit, milk and water are on offer throughout the day.

Breastfeeding, Bottle feeding and Weaning

The Baby Rooms have a dedicated milk preparation area and we can also store and prepare bottles of expressed milk. If you want to leave your baby with a full tum, or top them up before you head for home, you can breastfeed at the nursery and there’s also a special area to sit if you prefer a bit of privacy. When your child is ready to be weaned we offer a comprehensive weaning menu for young babies, freshly prepared by our chef allowing them to experiment with different flavours and textures, based on their nutritional needs. We will also follow the same feeding routine as you have at home.
